Solidarity Toy Drive Ends

We as a church are partnering with Solidarity, a Christian nonprofit Fullerton, by providing donations to their Christmas store. Each year, churches and individuals donate toys and gift cards to Solidarity, which they use to set up their store.  The families in their neighborhoods then sign up for times to come shop and have the opportunity to buy gifts for their children at a fraction of the retail cost.  This allows the parents the dignity of purchasing gifts rather than simply receiving a hand out.  The money that is raised from the store is then used to support the neighborhood programs that many of their children participate in. This year they are hoping to provide gifts for at least 500 children between the two neighborhoods. They are looking for unwrapped gifts for children between the ages of 0-18 years old as well as gift cards to stores such as Target, Wal-Mart, Kohls, Ross, Active, Tilly’s, Forever 21, and H&M.

In the back, you will also see the small Christmas tree, filled with tags which name the items available to buy and donate. Please consider taking one or MORE tags, and giving generously to show love to our neighbors in Fullerton. There are 100 tags on the tree, and we would like to see them all taken!

You can bring your purchased items to Fullerton meetings or drop them off at the Matheney’s house by December 11th.
